Maintenance and Fastening of Transformer Body
1. Body Cleaning:
Users and manufacturers of transformers have stringent requirements for the cleanliness of the transformer body, making body cleaning crucial. During the assembly process, crucial components, especially insulating parts, require meticulous cleaning. Typically, a vacuum cleaner is used, and clean white cloths are employed for wiping. In cases of oil contamination, the face adhesive method is the simplest and most effective approach. The cleaning outcome necessitates that metallic foreign objects, particularly non-metallic ones, remain invisible.
2. Body Fastening:
(1) Re-fasten the upper and lower iron yoke screws and baseplates, ensuring proper placement of washers when tightening bolts and nuts.
(2) When fastening the strap nut and locking nut, pay attention to the correct positioning of the strap insulation.
(3) Ensure all wire clamps, wooden brackets, iron brackets, and the iron bolts and insulating bolts around the screen are securely fastened and tightened. Note that the protruding part of all iron bolts after fastening should be between 5 to 10mm. The exposed parts of all insulating bolts should be consistent.
(4) Tighten the body axially. For stud structure, the tightening process should be symmetrical on both sides of high and low pressure simultaneously to avoid deviation in the line diagram. Axial tightening should undergo at least 2 cycles to ensure equal force distribution on all studs. For block pad structure, achieve the required pressure in one go as per design specifications. Simultaneous tightening devices for all three phases can significantly save operation time.
(5) For metallic bolts connecting wires and electrodes, use a dedicated torque wrench to tighten them to the specified torque.
3. Body Arrangement:
(1) Inspect insulation components to ensure there are no cracks or damages.
(2) Check insulation of leads to ensure there is no damage or traces of wear.
(3) Verify if any components are missing.
