Constituting the internal circuit
The transformer winding constitute the internal circuit of the equipment. It is the main channel for current transmission. It introduces the electric energy from the external power grid into the transformer, is directly connected to the external power grid, and outputs the transformed electric energy of the transformer. By changing the number of turns of the winding, different voltage levels and current magnitudes can be converted to meet various power consumption needs. This is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. When an alternating current passes through the winding, an alternating magnetic field is generated in the iron core, thereby inducing a different voltage in another winding.

 

Constituting the electromagnetic induction system
When the winding is fitted together with the iron core, it not only constitutes the transformer itself but also constitutes an electromagnetic induction system. In this system, the current in the winding generates a magnetic field. The magnetic field is conducted through the iron core and induces an electromotive force in another winding.
